Ted Davidson

Ted Davidson represents District 2 — northern Lafayette Parish including Carencro — as an interim appointee. The board selected him in April 2026 to fill the vacancy left by Chad Desormeaux, and he serves until a special election is held in the fall.

A Carencro resident of 35 years, Davidson was an educator for more than 40 years — 36 of them at Acadiana High School as a teacher, track coach, and football coach — before retiring in 2018. District 2 schools include Bob Lilly Elementary, Ossun Elementary, and Carencro Middle.
