Andy Naquin

Background

Andy Naquin has represented Lafayette City Council District 2 since January 2020, currently serving his second consecutive term. Born in New Orleans, he has lived in Lafayette since 1957. He previously served on the Lafayette City-Parish Council from 2012 to 2015, representing the former District 6, giving him more than eight years of total council experience.

Naquin worked 44 years in building materials sales, retiring in 2021 after 31 years with Doug Ashy Building Materials. He graduated from Our Lady of Fatima School in 1972 and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1979.

He is married to Peggy L. Cormier and has three daughters and three grandchildren.
