Background

Bryan Tabor has represented Lafayette Parish Council District 1 since January 2020, among the first council members elected under the parish's reorganized dual-council structure. A native of Raceland, Louisiana, Tabor has lived in Lafayette Parish for more than 44 years.

In his professional life, Tabor serves as President of Ace Plumbing, a contracting business he has been part of for more than 36 years. He holds Louisiana state licensures as a plumbing, electrical, and remodel contractor. He is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette, Class 24, and attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Tabor was first elected in October 2019 with 54 percent of the vote. He was reelected in 2023 without opposition, beginning a second term in January 2024. He is married to Veronica and has three children and six grandchildren.
